Editor Privacy Policy
This policy describes how "MyCodex Editor" (mycodex-editor.rpaka-farm.jp, hereinafter referred to as the "Editor") provided by rpaka-farm (hereinafter referred to as the "Developers") handles information about its users. The Editor is a web tool for creating the XML of the custom rules and dictionaries you import into the MyCodex app. For the MyCodex app itself, see the App Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
The Editor does not collect or transmit any information about its users.
- We do not collect the content of the documents you create or edit (custom rules and dictionaries).
- We do not measure usage data (e.g., number of visits, screen transitions, operational events). The Editor does not include any analytics tools.
- We do not collect information about your browser or device.
- The Editor does not incorporate any mechanism for transmitting error data.
- The Editor does not use cookies.
- We do not obtain any personally identifiable information (such as name, address, or phone number).
2. Network Communication
The Editor communicates over the network only when it loads its program and when it checks for a new version. Creating, editing, opening, and exporting documents all happen within your browser, and the content of your documents is never sent.
The Editor is delivered using the infrastructure of a hosting provider (Vercel Inc.). As part of how delivery works, information such as your IP address and browser type may be recorded in the provider's logs. The Developers refer to these records only to the extent necessary to investigate failures and maintain security. For how the provider handles information, see the Vercel Privacy Notice.
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
The documents you create and edit are stored only in your browser's storage (IndexedDB). They are never sent to the Developers' servers, and they are not synced with other devices or browsers.
The Editor also stores your display language, theme, panel layout, and whether to show the guide after exporting in your browser's storage (localStorage). It also keeps its program in your browser so that it works without an internet connection.
All of this is deleted when you clear the site data in your browser. To keep your documents, export them as XML or as a backup zip.
4. Opening and Exporting Files
The Editor reads only the files you choose in the file picker, drop onto it, or choose to open with the installed Editor. It does not access any other files on your device.
Exported files are saved to the location you choose or to your browser's download folder.
5. Provision of Information to Third Parties
Because the Editor does not obtain information about its users, we do not provide any to third parties, except when disclosure is required by law.
6. Amendments
The contents of this Privacy Policy may be amended as necessary without prior notice. Any amended policy will be promptly published on this page.
7. Contact
If you have any questions, please contact us using the contact information listed on the support site home.
